YAYA TOURE wants to return to the Premier League after leaving Olympiakos.
The 35-year-old left the Greek side by “mutual agreement” three months after rejoining in the summer.
Toure made five appearances for Olympiakos, 13 years after his first spell with the club.
His exit is believed to be due to the Greek giants struggling to be able to afford his pay-as-you-play deal as their budget came under financial restrictions.
The club said: “Yaya is and remains an important member of the Olympiakos family, who has marked a central part of the history of the club.
“Olympiakos would like to thank him for everything he has offered to the club.”
The Ivory Coast star has his family home in London and is keen to rekindle his career in England.
West Ham and Crystal Palace were linked with the three-time Premier League winner in the summer following his release from City.
But his agent Dimitry Seluk ruled out both London clubs trying to land his client.
Toure moved to the Etihad from Barcelona in 2010 and went on to score 79 goals in 316 games in eight seasons.
