Joel Amponsah hails from Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana and popularly known as Joel Orleans or Radio Man in the Multimedia industry is a rapper, radio presenter at YFM Ghana and signed to The Black Star Line runned by multi-platinum and number 1 billboard producer, Coptic.
His multi-talented self has gained him more recognition in the Hip-Hop realm in the country. Joel Orleans has lived to gain himself applauds from prominent names in the industry making him gradually a force to reckon with. The Black Star Line recording artist and YFM Ghana’s radio jock, Joel Orleans has a number of songs to his credit has featured some big wigs in the music industry, such as Kwaw Kese, Edem.
As well, he is done a couple of international collaborations with artists namely; Netherlands based Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Slim Kofi and Ghana based UK artist Mark Asari. YFM’s late afternoon drive time host Joel Orleans believes in nurturing young individuals into limelight, Erskine Amo Whyte popularly known as Rev Erskine and 2017 Miss Universe Ghana winner Ruth Quarshie are products of his nurturing. He began a movement across 20 tertiary institutions nationwide named the Young Entrepreneurs Network (YCE).

Joel Orleans who currently was appointed by the Ghana Society UK as ambassador to support children with cancer in Ghana and as well went to the UK had the rare opportunity to present BBC World Service’s BBC Minute, a syndicated news programme which make sense of the news in sixty seconds.
